Our minds are very powerful.  In fact our mind is the builder and the physical is the result. This truth is also reiterated in the Biblical passage, "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he..." (Prov. 23:7). What that means in regard to healing is that one's attitudes and emotions can and do have a direct bearing on the success or failure of the treatment process.

If you maintain a positive, hopeful, expectant attitude, keeping an open mind to real possibilities, and praying to God for healing and restoration, therapeutic endeavors are likely to be significantly more effective than if one is filled with doubt, fear, and unbelief. Negative thoughts –- as well as negative attitudes and emotions (like anger and resentment) –- seem to build a resistance that is difficult, if not impossible, for some treatment modalities to overcome. I believe that NOTHING can be accomplished until negativity –- towards situations, circumstances, self, others and God –- is dealt with and eliminated.

I have seen this in my practice as well. Clients do not get relief from the more serious conditions and diseases until their souls have developed. For that reason, it is IMPERATIVE that the spiritual dimension be considered in treating them.
